Lily Chou-Chou

Lily Chou-Chou is one of my most beloved films.
When I first watched it after finishing high school, something in it stayed quietly with me, and the way I saw the world in my youth began to shift.

Iwai Shunji’s film gently captures that thin moment between losing our innocence and stepping into a world we’re not ready for, along with the loneliness, the silence, the unspoken pain, and the small comfort we find in music or anything that reminds us we’re still here.

Lily chou chou เป็นหนังที่ผมรักมากอีกเรื่องหนึ่ง หลังดูจบครั้งแรกตอนช่วงเรียนจบชั้นมัธยมปลาย บางอย่างตกกระทบอยู่ภายในใจของผม หลังจากนั้นโลกทัศน์ของวัยเยาว์ที่ผมเคยมองก็เปลี่ยนแปลงไปพอสมควร

“เส้นบางๆ ระหว่าง ความไร้เดียงสาที่กำลังหายไป กับ โลกผู้ใหญ่ที่ยังไม่พร้อมจะรับมือ”

หนังของ Iwai Shunji เรื่องนี้ก็จับประเด็นตรงจุดนี้ได้ดีมาก ทั้งความโดดเดี่ยว ความเงียบ ความเศร้าของวัยรุ่น, ความเจ็บปวดแบบที่พูดตรง ๆ ไม่ได้ และการหาที่พักใจในดนตรีหรือสิ่งใดก็ตามที่ให้ความรู้สึกว่า “เราไม่ได้หายไปจากโลกนี้จริง ๆ”
